A FOUR-year-old child who was given a anti-flu vaccine at school without her parents’ consent has been awarded €4,000 damages*.

The childs mother had signed a form stating that she did not consent to the administration of the vaccine to her daughter. Although the child did have a painful arm following the injection she did not suffer any adverse reaction.

The case was settled for €4,000 and was approved by the Circuit court.
